Eligibility / Age Restriction

Our Services, Site, and SMS text messaging program are intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By requesting a quote, submitting a form, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly provide services to, collect information from, or enroll in our SMS program anyone under the age of 18.

SMS / Text Messaging Program

Troops Mowing, LLC offers an SMS text messaging program to customers and prospective customers who voluntarily opt in through the consent checkboxes on our online quote request form at www.troopsmowing.com. The program includes two distinct types of messages:

Transactional messages: quote follow-ups, appointment scheduling and confirmations, service updates, billing notices, and other messages directly related to services you have requested.

Marketing/promotional messages (optional): seasonal offers, discounts, and other promotional content. You may opt in to promotional messages separately from transactional messages, and opting out of promotional messages will not affect your ability to receive transactional messages related to services you request.

Message frequency varies depending on your service activity and the type(s) of messages you have opted in to receive. Message and data rates may apply, as determined by your mobile carrier and plan. Consent to receive promotional/marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages from Troops Mowing, LLC at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, we will send one final confirmation message and will not send further text messages unless you opt in again. You may also contact us directly using the information in the “Support and Contact Information” section below to request removal from our messaging list. For assistance at any time, reply HELP to any message, or contact us directly.

Carrier Liability Disclaimer

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Participating carriers do not guarantee delivery of SMS messages and are not responsible for any delays, failures, or errors in message transmission arising from carrier network issues, device compatibility, or other factors outside of our control.

General Service Terms

Service Cancellation Policy: We require two consecutive services prior to canceling the service completely. If you fail to meet the minimum service requirement prior to cancellation, your account will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.

Single Visit Cancellation Policy: To cancel a single visit, we require written notice no later than one day before the scheduled visit. Canceling on the day of a scheduled visit will result in a $25 cancellation fee. If you cancel a single visit and your property is overgrown at the following visit, the overgrown fee described below will apply.

Invoicing: For the convenience of both parties, we require all customers to have a card on file, which will be requested upon estimate approval.

Lawn Mowing Services

Service Frequency: Our default lawn mowing service frequency is bi-weekly (every other week). During April–June, some lawns may require weekly service due to increased growth. If this applies to your property, you will be notified by email and text of any related price or frequency change.

Service Date Flexibility: While we aim to complete service on the scheduled date, weather, holidays, or scheduling adjustments may require servicing your property the day before or after the assigned date. We appreciate your flexibility.

Overgrown Fee: If your lawn requires more than one pass of mowing, edging, and/or trimming on the initial visit to reach a maintained state, it will be considered overgrown, and an overgrown fee equal to 75% of your per-visit pricing will apply (e.g., a $60 mowing service would incur an additional $45 overgrown fee). Severely overgrown lawns may require two visits to fully restore. If your grass exceeds 2 feet in height, we may be unable to service your lawn due to equipment limitations; if so, we will notify you and refer another provider.

Excessive Pet Waste Fee: If you have signed up for pet waste removal and your property has excessive pet waste, the same overgrown-fee logic applies to that initial visit. If you have not signed up for pet waste removal and our crew observes excessive pet waste during a mowing visit, we will notify you.

Unable to Service a Portion of Your Lawn: If our crew cannot access a portion of your property (e.g., locked gate, pets outside), we will service only the accessible areas and you will still be charged full price, since the un-serviced area will require additional time on the next visit.

Flower Bed, Landscaping, and Property Cleanup

Landscaping and flower bed quotes include the cost of all labor, materials, and applicable sales tax. Quotes exceeding $1,000 require a 50% deposit to reserve your place on our schedule. This deposit is refundable if the job is canceled at least 24 hours before the service date. Because materials are purchased within 24 hours of the scheduled service, cancellations made after materials have been purchased are not eligible for a refund of the deposit.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Modified” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our Site or Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
